Devo Will I find Faith Part 10
2 Corinthians 5:1-7 (KJV)
5 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. 5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
This may be a little of a repeat of the last blog, but this is good stuff. Groaning does not imply an easy time. In this life we often go through hard places that we don’t enjoy. Our walk is not always a bed of roses. Jesus went to the cross, and yet says we will drink His cup. Not a sign me up moment and yet we do sign up knowing by His Spirit it will get better. Once again He gives us that earnest, deposit of His Spirit that by faith will carry us through any and all situations. We know by faith that this too shall pass, but He, His word shall never pass, because He gave us the Spirit of the word to walk by. We are confident knowing that as long we are in this body it is dying and shall pass away but we shall live on. We walk by faith through His spirit not by what seems to be reality itself.

Ephesians 1:13-14 (KJV)
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
I love this scripture! When we walk by faith we live by the promises God gives us. The things of this life will all pass away, but God’s word will never pass away. God gives us the Holy Spirit as a deposit, earnest, guarantee of better things to come. When buying a house a person puts down earnest money showing that much more is to come. In this life we are given the Holy Spirit as God’s earnest of all He has promised and has in store for us. As the men of old we walk as though all things were done not by what we and others we can see, but knowing God will deliver on His promises. We have the Holy Spirit giving us temporary victories as a guarantee of what is to come, not looking for an earthly city to call our own but a heavenly one. Praise God in the highest!!!

James 2:14-24 (KJV)
14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
I ask you that if a young man says to a girl: ‘Girl I love you.” and is not faithful, nor does his actions show it would she believe him? Should she believe him? If we walk by faith our actions will show what is abundant in our heart. Here we go again. You can’t separate faith, love, obedience, and righteousness. Our actions will be what is in our heart. Abraham walked by faith. He did not just give it lip service. If he had not obeyed God then he would not have been saved, because he would have been faithless. Faith is more than a belief. The demons believe, but don’t do, obey, submit, live a righteous life, and walk in love. You see Abraham was considered righteous for what he did. It was a heart thing. When we walk by faith we can’t help but to love, obey, and live in righteousness.

James 1:19-26 (KJV)
19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. 21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. 26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
Walking in Faith is a submissive learning process. Proverbs talks a lot about a fool and his anger. A fool won’t listen to instruction. Learn before you speak. Even a fool can teach you. Listen to what everyone has to say. Weigh it, digest it and learn from it, then speak if necessary. Many people get angry when others speak and don’t hear what they are saying, but what they decided to hear. They are to quick to argue. Faith is a learning process. Anger will lead to sin if unchecked. You cannot separate righteousness, obedience, love and faith. They go hand in hand. A man of faith out of love obeys Gods word to please God, so he walks in righteousness out of trust for God. He walks in meekness. Meekness is controlled strength. When one walks in meekness he controls his anger and body. People who don’t control their actions walk in weakness and sin. A controlled man does what the word says. When going into prayer we put on the full armor of God. A good soldier controls himself being trained by Gods word doing what it says, living in faith that his commander knows what he is doing. We must take orders and do them to be His solders. A good soldier holds his tongue and follows orders. A man who can’t hold his tongue will come to ruin. A man of faith follows orders, walks in obedience, loves God as well as well as the ones he protects, lives a righteous life, simply put he walks by faith.

Devo Will I find faith Part 6
James 1:5-7 (KJV)
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
Proverbs tells us to get wisdom though it costs us everything. Must be important. Listen, ask God for Godly wisdom. Here is a start, don’t doubt God. He will do what he says and see to it that His word is fulfilled. No faith no answers to prayers. People say: God never hears my prayers. They would be right. He does not listen to those who do not believe. Is the fault with God or them? Faith comes by hearing. Find faith and find God. Find God and find faith. They don’t seek Him with all their heart. They are lazy Christians. They want God to do everything. Give me the promise land God, I don’t want to pick up my sword and fight for it. Prayer is warfare and it is not easy. James says that we are to put feet to our faith and get out there and do something not sit on our behinds. Some believe that having faith is enough. Having faith is an ends to a means. Hogwash! Faith without works is dead. Put on the full amour of God and pray without ceasing.
