Devo Things on my mind 4
Numbers 12 (NIV)
12 Miriam and Aaron began to talk against Moses because of his Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite. 2 “Has the Lord spoken only through Moses?” they asked. “Hasn’t he also spoken through us?” And the Lord heard this. 3 (Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.) 4 At once the Lord said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, “Come out to the tent of meeting, all three of you.” So the three of them went out. 5 Then the Lord came down in a pillar of cloud; he stood at the entrance to the tent and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When the two of them stepped forward, 6 he said, “Listen to my words:
“When there is a prophet among you,
I, the Lord, reveal myself to them in visions,
I speak to them in dreams.
7 But this is not true of my servant Moses;
he is faithful in all my house.
8 With him I speak face to face,
clearly and not in riddles;
he sees the form of the Lord.
Why then were you not afraid
to speak against my servant Moses?”
9 The anger of the Lord burned against them, and he left them. 10 When the cloud lifted from above the tent, Miriam’s skin was leprous[a]—it became as white as snow. Aaron turned toward her and saw that she had a defiling skin disease, 11 and he said to Moses, “Please, my lord, I ask you not to hold against us the sin we have so foolishly committed. 12 Do not let her be like a stillborn infant coming from its mother’s womb with its flesh half eaten away.” 13 So Moses cried out to the Lord, “Please, God, heal her!”
The next part of my dream I was trying to plug this bundle of wires in to what looked like a car trailer connection. I got them plug in but did not get the correct results I was looking for. I looked at God and He said they get plugged in, but their wires are crossed. They don’t take the time to know my word and run off in the wrong directions and once again those following get the wrong signals and are led to destruction. I had to unravel the wires and put them in the right place. Just like Miriam and Aaron, who were prophets also, and they had gotten their wires crossed and it led to trouble. God was merciful.

Jude 8-12 (NIV)
8 In the very same way, on the strength of their dreams these ungodly people pollute their own bodies, reject authority and heap abuse on celestial beings. 9 But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” 10 Yet these people slander whatever they do not understand, and the very things they do understand by instinct—as irrational animals do—will destroy them.
11 Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain; they have rushed for profit into Balaam’s error; they have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion.
12 These people are blemishes at your love feasts, eating with you without the slightest qualm—shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted—twice dead.
In my dream those people who did not take the time to get their assignment were busy selling books and tapes. They were peddling the word of God for profit and merchandising God’s glory for themselves by creating a name for themselves as though they had the secrets of God and you could have them too at a price. They truly believed that they were doing God’s work but were deceived by wages of sin. Money had blinded their eyes and greed their followers.
Obadiah 3 (NIV) 3 The pride of your heart has deceived you,
you who live in the clefts of the rocks
and make your home on the heights,
you who say to yourself,
‘Who can bring me down to the ground?’
Like Edom they will fall.

Exodus 13:21-22 (NIV)
21 By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. 22 Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.
Exodus 33:9 (NIV)
9 As Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and stay at the entrance, while the Lord spoke with Moses.
I had a dream that greatly disturbed me. I will explain the dream in parts to you. First I saw God and he was giving me assignments to do and to give to others. As I stood before Him the peace was beyond understanding. He said go and lead this one or that one to me, and have this person or that lead these to me. I left His side and went and enjoyed my work, but then noticed that many were not getting their assignments, but clearly thought they too were doing the Lord’s work. They were so busy that they either only received partial instructions or no instructions at all. The things they were doing in the world’s eyes seemed very Godly but had little or nothing to do with God. I asked God what was going on and why these people had no real peace. He said they don’t come to the tent of meeting and spend time with me. They have fire from their own camps like Nadab and Abihu. They may be called to be a priest, but their fire does not light the way for them and leads to destruction and their followers go with them. You must come to my altar, His presence, daily to see the way. (To be continued)
