Devo Our created position in the body Part four
Ephesians 5:22-24 (NIV) 22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 1 Corinthians 12:21 (NIV) 21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” I can just hear some woman saying I knew he would get to this? Lol! Well I can’t candy coat this. We all expect to submit to Christ’s authority without question, so why is it we don’t want to submit to governing authorities which God instituted? Well I will get to that in the next lesson. First we must understand in the marriage God created man to lead. He is to protect his wife and family even to death. I often tell men when they point this scripture out to me that their wife has the easy job. She has to submit to you but you have to die for her. Lol! It is true, there is order and we must fulfill that order. Don’t like the marriage order then don’t get married because it won’t work any other way. This is how it was created to work. Each person must fulfill their position or they are in rebellion. Period. Now stay with me, we are getting to the problem in the next lesson, Pastor Jeff Lane

Devo Our created position in the body Part three
Genesis 2:18 (NIV) 18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” Now if you read Genesis you notice God always said after he created things it was good. Here we see God said it was not good for man to be alone. He needs a companion and helper. Not any helper, but a suitable one. It could not be another man, but God created woman. He created them male and female. They were made of the same flesh and Adam realizes she is a part of him. The two become one flesh. What is good for him is good for her and what is good for her is good for him. They are to work and rule together not separately but together. They will each have a position to play, and if they both fulfill that position they will be happy. Therein lies the problem and we will see why soon. Pastor Jeff Lane Devo Our created position in the body Part two
Romans 9:20-21 (NIV) 20 But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’” 21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use? Today we see so many who are not satisfied with how they were created. They try to change their bodies, sex, and everything about themselves. They hate themselves, because they are confused and society has confused them. Man thinks he or she can chose their position in life. They think God did not know what he was doing or He does not exist so they want to play God and make the rules including their position. There is no respect for God given position in our society. Fathers are made to look like idiots on TV and children as though they have all wisdom. One of my daughters came to me once wanting to do something and I said no. Not being satisfied with my answer she started stating her case for why she should be given permission to do as she pleased. I became exhausted with her rebellion and finally said OK do it. She stopped and look at me and said what. Why did you give in? I said well when I was your age I was like you. I knew everything. I was brilliant and wise, but now that I have grown twenty years older than you and am married and have had three children and experienced life, well I have gotten stupid. I have learned nothing, I realize how little I know. Oh how I wish I could be smart like I was then so go ahead and do it and tell me how it works out for you. See if you get a different result. She said Ok dad I won’t do it. Want to be happy? Then fulfill your call. Stop trying to put a round peg in a square hole. Trust God, know what he created you to be and embrace it. Stop rebelling against the position God created you to fill and be the best you can at it. Wrenches make terrible hammers. You may eventually get the nail in but it will be a mess. It will never be right. Eyes don’t make good ears. Be what God created you to be and let’s do what God called us to do and be happy in Jesus. It all starts with our sex. Genesis 2:15-17 (NIV) 15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.” Genesis 1:28 (NIV) 28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” God created man to rule, keep in order and to work. We were given the garden and all that was in it to take care of it, protect it, rule it or keep in order, and protect it. God gave the man the one and only law do not eat of the tree of knowledge. Man and woman were to rule together, but God made an order to all He created. Everything had a position, so as to keep that order. When we get out of our created position things fall into chaos. Satan lost his position in heaven, because he fell out of order. He wanted to be the head, he wanted to be God, and he did not want to be what God created him to be. Now I know I am about to journey into a politically incorrect subject, but before you stop listening please hear me out. You may find this very refreshing and liberating. Pastor Jeff Lane |
