Devo Planting and harvesting
Proverbs 18:20-21 (K) 20 A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Genesis 1:27 (KJV) 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Words like seed must be planted or spoken to grow. Man was made in God’s image, and look how God works from the beginning God said and it was so. We can speak life or death as God did. We speak it into our children, work, and our own hearts. It will produce and we will reap the harvest. Bad or good. Our words go down in us and grow. God compares them to fruit. Make a tree good and it produces good fruit make a tree bad and it produces bad fruit. It’s not just planting, but when, how, and where you plant. Proverbs 20:4 King James Version (KJV) 4 The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing. A bad harvest is easy throw your seed down and do nothing. A good harvest takes work. One must till the ground, pull weeds, keep animals and parasites out, protect, water, sunshine, and do it all in season. God tells us to rule and take care of the garden. It takes work. Are you getting the harvest you desire or are you getting what you put in? Pastor Jeff Lane
