Devo He is always there
Psalm 27:10 (NIV)
10 Though my father and mother forsake me,
the Lord will receive me.
I have run into a lot of people and for whatever reason their parents or one of their parents have turn their back on them. God will always receive us and talk with us. He does not forsake us but longs for us to come home to Him. Sadly I also hear a lot of parents who son or daughter have turn their back on them and the same is true of God. He does not forsake them either. He said in the last days this would be the case, but He would turn the hearts of the children back to their parents and the children back to the children we but have to ask. God receives us even when were guilty.

Devo Be careful what you eat
2 Kings 4:38-41 (NIV)
38 Elisha returned to Gilgal and there was a famine in that region. While the company of the prophets was meeting with him, he said to his servant, “Put on the large pot and cook some stew for these prophets.” 39 One of them went out into the fields to gather herbs and found a wild vine and picked as many of its gourds as his garment could hold. When he returned, he cut them up into the pot of stew, though no one knew what they were. 40 The stew was poured out for the men, but as they began to eat it, they cried out, “Man of God, there is death in the pot!” And they could not eat it. 41 Elisha said, “Get some flour.” He put it into the pot and said, “Serve it to the people to eat.” And there was nothing harmful in the pot.
It is said; “You are what you eat.” Same can be said about your spiritual life. People should be more careful with what goes in the soul than the belly. Do you know what goes in the pot, or teaching you are eating out of? There very well could be death there, spiritual death. There are a lot of teachings out there and God many times in the New Testament talks about false teachers in the last days. What’s in the pot, TV show, or church you eat out of? Life or death.
