Devo Passing through or camping
Psalm 23:4 (KJV)
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
I have been pastoring for many years now and there is something that bothers me. It is people who set up camp in the valley of the shadow of death. We all must go through it, but why camp there. Like a drowning man panicking to stay alive are those who stay there. They never seem to rise above it. They are always on the edge of dying, bankruptcy, divorce, just all out defeat. God said pass through it not build a house there. I am not being condemning on the contrary I want them to get to the other side of the wilderness. Listen if what you’re believing isn’t getting you through then question yourself not God. For starters believing is obeying. Are you doing what the book says? Do you following the pillar of cloud by day and Pillar of fire by night, or are you following your own laws and beliefs? What’s in your heart? Jesus fought and won the battle. The battle belongs to God. Then why are you still fighting it? It says walk in faith not sight. Plain and simple if you’re camped in that valley, you’re camped in that valley. Jesus won the day break camp and move on by faith.
