Devo Don’t argue
2 Timothy 2:23-26 (NIV)
23 Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. 24 And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 25 Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.
Arguments are of the devil. They divide and don’t build up the body. Look at all the denominations we have, and they don’t work together, but instead find fault with one another. They side track us and stop us from doing His will. They are a trap of the devil. The truth is absolutely necessary, but if someone is always arguing about the truth they need to move on and do the Fathers will. Win souls. They are so wise in their own eyes, then let them be wise and fool themselves. But you need to move on and do the work of God. They do the will of Satan you do the will of God. Love covers a multitude of sin. When I started working as host of “You and Me” there was a person who tried to drag me into an argument about tithing. They missed the whole point of why “You and Me” existed. They were caught up in their own greed and self-importance to do God’s work. It was a stupid argument and I simply hung up the phone. It had no useful purpose but to tear down and divide. Don’t get side tracked with stupid arguments that can bring unforgiveness and bitterness. Be firm and walk away and be about the Fathers business.
