Devo Will I find faith Part 7
James 1:19-26 (KJV)
19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. 21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. 26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
Walking in Faith is a submissive learning process. Proverbs talks a lot about a fool and his anger. A fool won’t listen to instruction. Learn before you speak. Even a fool can teach you. Listen to what everyone has to say. Weigh it, digest it and learn from it, then speak if necessary. Many people get angry when others speak and don’t hear what they are saying, but what they decided to hear. They are to quick to argue. Faith is a learning process. Anger will lead to sin if unchecked. You cannot separate righteousness, obedience, love and faith. They go hand in hand. A man of faith out of love obeys Gods word to please God, so he walks in righteousness out of trust for God. He walks in meekness. Meekness is controlled strength. When one walks in meekness he controls his anger and body. People who don’t control their actions walk in weakness and sin. A controlled man does what the word says. When going into prayer we put on the full armor of God. A good soldier controls himself being trained by Gods word doing what it says, living in faith that his commander knows what he is doing. We must take orders and do them to be His solders. A good soldier holds his tongue and follows orders. A man who can’t hold his tongue will come to ruin. A man of faith follows orders, walks in obedience, loves God as well as well as the ones he protects, lives a righteous life, simply put he walks by faith.
