Worship Him Always
Psalm 27:3-6 (NIV)
3 Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then I will be confident.
4 One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.
5 For in the day of trouble
he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent
and set me high upon a rock.
6 Then my head will be exalted
above the enemies who surround me;
at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make music to the Lord.
Most people come running to God in times of trouble to ask for help, but King David learned to worship God in all times. Anyone can worship in good times, but to worship Him when surrounded by your enemies is another story. We have a generation of people who know little of how to worship God, but much of self worship or idol worship. Scripture teaches that as we worship God He will surround us with an army of His angles and fight our battles for us. Why? It is because He enjoys the worship of His children. Deep calls to deep. Let your spirit worship God and He will lift you up.

Devo True worship
Mark 7:6-7 (NIV)
6 He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written:
“‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
7 They worship me in vain;
their teachings are merely human rules.’
How do we know if our heart is with Jesus? We love Him, but how do we know if we love Him? Jesus said if you obey my commands you love me. True worship is to offer ourselves as living sacrifices to God doing what He commands us. God doesn’t want your lip service, but your heart. Live and obey His rules, not mans. If you’re going to offer a sacrifice of praise to God you must do be Holy. In the Old Testament before you offered a praise offering you had to offer a sin offering. To be Holy as God is Holy you must walk as He walked. Think about that.
